General Studies Maternity Leave Teachers, Cross River SINAI School@RYNJ

Job Description

SINAI Schools is seeking highly motivated General Studies lower school teachers to serve as maternity leave replacements, beginning now or January 2024 and continuing approximately through the spring at its Cross River SINAI School@RYNJ campus. The individuals should have Master of Special Education degrees and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with children. 

Responsibilities

  • Teaching Special Education General Studies to students with special needs 
  • Collaborate with co-educators and parents to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each individual’s learning needs.      

 

Qualifications

  • Master of Special Education (required)
  • 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably within a special education setting
  • Knowledge of Orthodox Judaism a plus

SINAI@RYNJ, for students in grades one through eight, is located at Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey in River Edge, NJ. Students have a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and complex learning disabilities, and are grouped into multi-graded classes according to their social, academic, and emotional profiles to create appropriate peer groups. 

Widely regarded as a leader in special education, SINAI operates 8 schools for individuals ages 6-21, with a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities as well as other special needs. We focus on maximizing each student’s academic, emotional, and social potential, while developing a strong knowledge and love of his or her traditional Jewish heritage.
