SINAI Schools is proud to announce that Shoshana Sturm, assistant director at SINAI at Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy, is participating in Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools’ prestigious Orthodox Women in Leadership Cohort 2024-2025.

The Orthodox Women in Leadership Cohort, which kicked off on Sept. 24 with an in-person gathering in New Jersey, brings together a group of exceptional women in a 10-month program designed to support, engage, and deepen professional growth for Orthodox women in Jewish day schools and yeshivas. Now in its third year, the program, sponsored by Prizmah, the network for Jewish day schools and yeshivas across North America, offers a meaningful experience for school professionals who aspire to build leadership capacity in their current and future roles.

Cohort members address professional challenges, share resources, and build their network for future leadership opportunities. Over the course of the program, each cohort member is guided by esteemed mentors and industry experts. Through intensive training, personalized mentorship, and a range of professional development opportunities, Sturm will hone her leadership skills and expand her knowledge base.

“The growth and development open to each participant is truly remarkable,” said Debra Shaffer Seeman, Prizmah’s Network Weaver who oversees this cohort. “These women are already leaders in the field, and it is a privilege to witness their growth as they embrace their roles in the field of Jewish education.”

Through the Orthodox Women in Leadership cohort, “I hope to develop a network of women in similar positions so that I can learn from the experiences of others and also serve as a resource in areas that I have experience,” Sturm said. “I am excited to take what I learn from Prizmah and the talented women in my cohort and apply it to my role at SINAI at JKHA in a way that builds on the strengths of our school and supports faculty, students, and their families.”

“Shoshana is an exceptional professional known for her calm and confident style, and inspires the teachers that she leads to invest in a deep commitment to personal and professional growth,” said Rabbi Dr. Yisrael Rothwachs, the Leo Brandstatter z”l Dean at SINAI Schools.

This cohort program is made possible by the generous support of Micah Philanthropies-Ann and Jeremy Pava, Trustees and The Walder Foundation.
