Family of Caring at Teaneck recently recognized Yehoshua Kotler, a student at SINAI@Heichal HaTorah, for his incredible hands-on help and dedication to their maintenance team and his willingness to roll up his sleeves and work hard alongside staff to truly make a difference at their facility.
Throughout the school year, Kotler contributed directly to the operations at Family of Caring at Teaneck while mastering communications, organization, troubleshooting, and other practical skills through SINAI’s Vocational Preparedness Program.
“Yehoshua worked closely with our maintenance staff and quickly became an essential part of the team, said Yair Wasserman, Assistant Administrator at Family of Caring. “His strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn made a lasting impact on our facility. From ensuring equipment functioned properly to assisting with day-to-day upkeep, Yehoshua’s contributions helped keep Family of Caring running smoothly.”
Family of Caring is one of some 60 businesses and organizations that partner with SINAI Shalem High Schools to help students master crucial life skills while making meaningful contributions to our community.
“We are so grateful to have wonderful partners like Family of Caring,” said Hannah Cowan, Director of SINAI@Heichal HaTorah. “Vocational training gives our students the opportunity to learn job skills in the workplace under the guidance of our staff, while simultaneously helping our vocational partners perform necessary tasks.”
“We are proud to partner with SINAI Schools and look forward to the continued success of this partnership in shaping future professionals,” said Wasserman.
“Our goal is to match each student to a vocational placement that aligns with their skills and interests so they can gain experience in a variety of workplaces and grow in their level of independence at work,” said Cowan. “As we prepare for the next academic year, we would love to add new partners so that both our students and the wider community can reap the benefits of our vocational training program.”
